Flood defence

The Environment Agency is responsible for the management of the risk of flood for rivers and sea defences in England and Wales. The South East Southern Region's gross expenditure for 2017/18 is £81.708m. A charge is made to Hampshire County Council for costs associated with this function.  The charge for 2017/18 has increased top £1.285 million from £1.260 million in 2016/17.
