Public Conveniences

What happens with your money

The council owns 25 public conveniences around the district with disabled and baby change facilities.

Over recent years public conveniences at Fordingbridge, Keyhaven, Lyndhurst, Burley ,Ringwood and Barton on sea have been extensively refurbished and converted to a modular type of facility. These more modern designed units have been extremely successful in reducing vandalism and maintenance costs and have been well received by local people and visitors.

Our aim is to provide facilities that are safe, clean and in good working order.

The building at Barton Court Avenue, Barton-on-Sea has recently been refurbished during 2014/15. Talks are ongoing with New Milton Town Council to agree a replacement for the two older buildings in New Milton. This to be built in 2015/16.

The council cleans all of the toilets daily and those with high frequency of usage twice per day.
