Local Plan Part 2: Sites and Development Management Examination

The Council has received the Inspector's Report into the Local Plan Part 2: Sites and Development Management Development Plan Document. The report concludes the Examination of the Plan. The Inspector has found the Plan to be 'sound' and legally compliant and capable of adoption, subject to a schedule of main modifications recommended by the Inspector to the Council. The Plan was adopted by the Council on 14 April 2014. The Inspector's Report and the schedule of recommended modifications may be viewed here:


The Local Plan Part 2: Sites and Development Management Examination
The Local Plan Part 2: Sites and Development Management document was submitted to the Secretary of State on 12 July 2012. Simon Emerson BSc DipTP MRTPI was appointed by the Secretary of State to conduct the Examination into the 'soundness' of the plan. Further information about the Examination process is available on the Planning Portal.

Hearing Sessions
The Hearing Sessions of the Examination took place between February 2013 and January 2014.
