B3055 SWAY ROAD BROCKENHURST

Hampshire County Council's Engineering Consultancy (contact is John Burrows john.burrows@hants.gov.uk Tel: 01962 846889) have requested a temporary road closure at the bridge over the railway in Sway Road Brockenhurst, from Tuesday 1st September 2015, for a maximum likely duration of 9 weeks, in order to carry out bridge safety works.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

B3055 SWAY ROAD BROCKENHURST

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVENthat New Forest District Council, acting as agent to the traffic authority, Hampshire County Council, proposes to make an Order to allow for bridge safety  works to be undertaken, as follows:-

 

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: That length of B3055 Sway Road Brockenhurst between its junction with B3055 Marlpit Oak Road/Latchmoor Road a point 400m north of  that junction.

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:

From the northern point of closure north via B3055 Sway Road/Grigg Lane to its junction with A337 Lyndhurst Road; south via Lyndhurst Road/Lymington Road to its junction with C53 Latchmoor Road; northwest and west via Latchmoor Road to the southern point of closure  and vice versa. 

 

PERIOD OF CLOSURE:  From 1st September 2015 for a period of six months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 9 weeks)         

 

Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
