Strategic Land Availability Assessment - Call for Sites

The Council has completed the initial call for sites. Thank you to those of you who have responded. You will receive an acknowledgment by the end of November 2015.

We will commence work in the Strategic Land Availability Assessment report to assess the development potential of the suggested sites once we have completed preparations for our first Local Plan consultation on Issues and Scope (scheduled for spring 2016). Our completed assessment including details of the sites submitted to us will be published to support our second consultation on the draft Local Plan Preferred Options, towards the end of 2016.

We will not be making details of submitted sites available nor entering into discussions about them until we have published the completed Strategic Land Availability Assessment report. Site promoters have the option to use our pre-application advice service to discuss the development prospects of land under our current planning policies.

We will still accept suggestions for land and sites within the Council's Plan Area (New Forest District outside the National Park) using the adobe icon site submission form [104kb]. You can check the Plan Area boundary here.

Save the completed form and email it, together with a location plan and any other supporting information, to .
