NFDC helped local businesses grow at New Forest Show
Business start-ups, planning questions, broadband enquiries, and social media advice were just some of the ways New Forest District Council helped local business at last week's New Forest and Hampshire County Show
The stand showcased the different areas of work the Council offers to help and engage with local businesses with a range of specialist advice and information, as well as games and activities.
Cllr Barry Rickman, Leader, said, "The Show is such an important part of the local calendar and an ideal time for us to show the support we can give to local businesses. I spoke with many inspirational local entrepreneurs from a young man just finishing uni who was looking to start a business, through to a long-established company who wanted to join the business partnership and become part of a network of support."
The Countess of Wessex visited the stand on Tuesday as part of her tour of the showground and was given a Brand New Forest Card, heard about different careers in the area, and had a special personalised momento presented to her by New Forest Metalwork Ltd
