A336 LAY-BY SOUTHAMPTON ROAD BARTLEY

Hampshire County Council (contact operation.resilience@hants.gov.uk Tel: 0300 555 1388) have requested a temporary road closure at the above location in order to facilitate highway maintenance works. The Traffic Regulation Order will come into effect from Tuesday 3rd January 2017 and the closure is likely to be required for a maximum of a four month period during 2017.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

A336 LAY-BY SOUTHAMPTON ROAD BARTLEY

                                                                                          

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVENthat New Forest District Council, acting as agent to the traffic authority, Hampshire County Council, proposes to make an Order to allow highway maintenance works to be carried out, as follows:

 

ROAD TO BE CLOSED

That length of layby adjacent A336 Southampton Road Bartley between its eastern and western junctions with the A336.

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:

Via A336 Southampton Road.

 

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 3rd January 2017 for a period of 12 months or until completion of works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than four months.)

 

Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
