Hampshire County Council's Highways West Office (contact is Bob Brown Tel: 0300 555 1388) have requested an urgent road closure at the above location, on Monday 5th December 2016, for a likely maximum duration of 1 day, in order to carry out verge repair works.




NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) that New Forest District Council, acting as agent to the Traffic Authority, Hampshire County Council, owing to works in connection with highway maintenance considers that the closure to the road as specified below should come into force without delay: ‑


ROAD TO BE CLOSED:  That length of  Hungerford Hill Hyde between its junction with Hyde Hill and a point 100m east of that junction.



From the western point of closure, north via Hyde Hill to its junction with Frogham Hill, east via Frogham Hill to its junction with Abbots Well Road at Frogham Cross; southwest via Unnamed road/Hungerford Hill to the eastern point of closure and vice versa.


PERIOD OF CLOSURE:  From 5th December 2016 for a period of five days or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than one day. )


Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
