VARIOUS ROADS TOTTON
Balfour Beatty (contact is Jon Yogev Tel: 02380 798031 email@example.com ) have requested a temporary 40 mph speed limit on A35 Totton Bypass and its slip roads, as per the attached Statutory Notice and map. The temporary limit will come into effect on 1st January 2017 and will remain in place, as signed on site, for up to 18 months. The temporary restriction will also extend eastwards and in that regard Southampton City are making the necessary arrangements in respect of the legal processes.

TEMPORARY 40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVENthat New Forest District Council, acting as agent to the traffic authority, Hampshire County Council to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public or serious damage to the road proposes to make an Order, as follows:-
EFFECT OF RESTRICTIONS: To impose a 40mph speed restriction, as signed on site, on those lengths of roads as follows:
A35 Totton Bypass Totton between the Southampton/New Forest administrative boundary and a point approx. 330m west of that point.
A36 Commercial Road/Redbridge Causeway Totton eastbound, between a point 75m northeast of its junction with Station Road North, Totton and its junction with A35 Totton Bypass
A36 Redbridge Causeway/Commercial Road Totton westbound between its junction with A35 Totton Bypass and a point 75m northeast of its junction with Station Road North, Totton.
PERIOD OF RESTRICTIONS: From 1st January 2017 until 30th June 2018 or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the restrictions will be required for no longer than 18 months.)
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
