Temporary footpath diversion, Milford-on-Sea, 6 and 7 September

We will be carrying out works to top-dress (add the final surface) the rear promenade behind the beach huts at Hurst Road, Milford-on-Sea on 6 and 7 September 2017, subject to suitable weather conditions. This will require some footpath closures and diversions, as follows:

Wednesday 6 September

There will be rear prom closures to the western end of the beach huts, with no access to the rear prom, beach huts or lower promenade available from the western end. The section between the White House and the public toilet block will be closed. Pedestrians will be diverted along Hurst Road as an alternative route, with access to the lower prom and beach huts possible from the eastern end.

Thursday 7 September

The footpath along the promenade to the rear of the beach huts will be closed along the full length of the beach huts (from the eastern end to the Hurst Road West Car Park) with no access to the lower prom and beach huts from the eastern end. Pedestrians will be diverted along Hurst Road as an alternative route, with access to the public toilets available from Hurst Road. The footpath in front of the White House will be open, with access to the lower prom and beach huts possible from the western end.

People are asked to please follow diversion signs and take extra care while the works are going on. Contractor vehicles will be using Hurst Road West car park. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
