There is an amber weather warning in place affecting our region indicating that heavy snow is likely from later this afternoon and into the evening.

The severe weather forecast may affect our ability to deliver some council services through the rest of today and into Friday.  One of the services this may impact is the refuse and recycling collections.  We will be keeping a close eye on the weather and decisions will be made in the early hours of each day.  Please check here or our social media for updates.

- Our Housing Maintenance team is likely to be very busy with calls during this period of severe weather which may result in repair requests being prioritised to assist our most vulnerable residents first.  Please be aware that during periods of extreme weather, we are only able to respond to emergency repair requests from our most vulnerable residents and, in some cases, if weather conditions are deemed unsafe this may result in our employees not being deployed at all until it is safe to do so

- We have salted/gritted main NFDC public car parks and at Health & Leisure Centres.  (Hampshire County Council is responsible for road gritting https://www.hants.gov.uk/transport/roadmaintenance/severeweather
