SSE (contact andy.mills@sse.com, Tel: 02380 817310) have requested a temporary road closure at the above location, from Monday 3rd September 2018, for a likely maximum duration of four weeks, in order to carry out substation upgrade works.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

MALWOOD ROAD

HYTHE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that New Forest District Council, acting as agent to the traffic authority, Hampshire County Council, proposes to make an Order to allow for substation upgrade works to be undertaken, as follows:-

 

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: That length of Malwood Road Hythe between its junction with Hollybank Crescent and a point 60m northwest of that junction.

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE

From the southern point of closure northeast via Hollybank Crescent to its junction with Southampton Road; northwest via Southampton Road to its junction with Hollybank Road; southwest via Hollybank Road to its junction with Malwood Road; southeast via Malwood Road to the northern point of closure and vice versa.

 

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 3rd September 2018 for a period of three months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 4 weeks.)

 

Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
