In June 2018 we published the  Local Plan 2016-2036 Part 1: Planning Strategy [10Mb] for the New Forest District (outside the National Park) for formal consultation, together with its companion documents (Sustainability Appraisal, Habitats Regulations Assessment, Regulation 18 Consultation Summary and Infrastructure Delivery Plan), and the full supporting evidence base. The submission Local Plan sets out strategic site allocations and strategic planning policies for the use, development or protection of land and buildings in the Plan Area for the Plan period 2016 to 2036. Representations were invited on the soundness of the submission Local Plan prior to its submission to the Secretary of State for independent examination in public. The representations are provided to the Planning Inspector as part of the Local Plan examination process.
