DELIVERY OF NOMINATION PAPERS - NEW FOREST EAST AND NEW FOREST WEST CONSTITUENCIES

We will be accepting nomination papers for the New Forest East and New Forest West Parliamentary Constituencies from the day after the publication of the notice of election up until the deadline of 4pm on the nineteenth day before the poll. 

The relevant dates in accordance with the timetable are:

  • Publication of Notice of Election - Friday 8 November 2019
  • Receipt of Nominations (Deadline) - Thursday 14 November 2019 (4pm)

Forms can be downloaded here adobe icon Parliamentary General Election - Nomination Pack [200kb] and must be delivered to Electoral Services, New Forest District Council, Appletree Court, Beaulieu Road, Lyndhurst, SO43 7PA.  Reception staff will not be able to take nomination papers so please ask for a member of Electoral Services.

To manage the process effectively we would prefer that an appointment is made at your convenience between the hours of 10am and 4pm on Monday 11 November, Tuesday 12 November, Wednesday 13 November or Thursday 14 November. At this time we can provide an informal check of the nominations papers prior to formal submission.

In order to be validly nominated, a candidate, or someone acting on their behalf, must deposit the sum of £500 with the Returning Officer.  This sum must be paid by close of nominations at 4pm on Thursday 14 November 2019.  Payment will be accepted in legal tender (cash in British pounds only), a building society cheque, a debit or credit card or the electronic transfer of funds.

Please note that nomination papers and deposits must be received by 4pm on Thursday 14 November 2019.

CANDIDATE AND AGENT BRIEFING

Please note a briefing for Candidates and Agents will be held on Friday 15 November 2019 at 5pm at Appletree Court, Beaulieu Road, Lyndhurst, SO43 7PA.
