Registration: Food Businesses Supplying the Final Consumer

Register a Food Business by clicking on the link.

When starting up a new food business you must register with your local authority. Food businesses include restaurants, hotels, cafes, shops, supermarkets, staff canteens, guest houses and B&B's, market stalls, ice cream vans, childminders. If you are not sure, contact us and we can tell you if you need to register.

Approvals: Food Businesses Producing Food of Animal Origin

If your food business makes, prepares or handles meat, dairy, egg, fish, shellfish or other animal produce for supply to other businesses, you may need to be approved rather than registered and should contact us. You can apply for approval using the link above which can be completed and sent to eho.office@nfdc.gov.uk
