Financial Regulations The financial regulations are part of the Council's set of rules that cover financial administration, accountancy procedures and control of finances.

The aim is to provide a framework for all financial issues to ensure that there is a consistent approach across the whole Authority.

The regulations cover the general principles, practices, procedures and systems including but not limited to:

  • Budgets And Financial Control
  • Banking Arrangements, Treasury Management, Investments and Trust Funds
  • Orders for Goods and Services
  • Payment of Accounts
  • Income
  • Insurance
  • Inventories, Security and Disposal of Assets
  • Petty Cash and Change Floats
  • Audit Arrangements and Fraud Investigations
