Summary of overall performance 2011/12
We continue to rank amongst the best performing billing authorities for council tax and non-domestic rates in the country in terms of the percentage we collect in the year it is due and also in terms of administrative cost per dwelling. We continue to encourage taxpayers to pay by electronic methods as this helps keep our costs down. Over 80% now pay by Direct Debit or other automated means.
