Welcome to New Forest Homesearch.  This website holds advertisements for Council and Housing Association properties becoming available for renting in the New Forest district.

To apply for any of the properties advertised on Homesearch, you will first need to be registered on the housing waiting list. Registration can only take place if you have completed a housing waiting list application form, on receipt of which you will be provided with a reference number which is needed to apply for vacancies.

If you have not completed an application, you can download an application form or collect one from any of the Council offices in the New Forest.

This website will be updated with new vacancies at 12 noon every Tuesday.  Properties are advertised for 7 days.  If you want to look for available vacancies click on the Vacancies links at the top left of the page.

Please note that there is a very long waiting list and many applicants apply for each available vacancy. 

If your application for a property is successful we will contact you, if you do not hear from us within two weeks of the closing date you can assume that you have been unsuccessful.  Please do not contact Homesearch with any enquiries about applications for vacancies as we are unable to provide this information.  

However you can find details of those applicants who were offered previous vacancies by clicking on the Recent Lettings icon at the top of this page.  This information will give you an idea of the length of wait for particular properties in the various areas throughout the district.
