New Forest Coast

The New Forest District has a coast some forty miles long. Around 90% of it has some form of nature conservation designation and it is host to many important habitats and species. It is also part of the wider Solent and one of the world's most famous locations for sailing. With traditional fishing and water based industries it is a fascinating mix of varied interests.

Wind SurfingThe Council's Coastal Management Plan provides a unique insight into all these features.

Marine Events take place throughout the year and details can be found in our Events, What's On and Days Out section which details events as a whole.

Other Coastal information can be found at the bottom of this page and links to other organisations with an interest in the coast are listed under 'Related Links'.
