Permits are available to non-residents of the New Forest District Council area as well as its residents and allow parking in Amenity Car Parks without further charge in accordance with the regulations and within the time limits as they apply to individual car parks. Permits can be purchased online.

Who can buy an Amenity Permit?
Anybody who uses our coastal car parks.
What are the restrictions?
Permits cannot be issued for trailers, Goods Vehicles and are not valid for Lepe Country Park.
Vehicles are parked at owners risk.
Does a Permit guarantee me a parking space?
No. The purchase of a permit does not guarantee a parking place.
Do Disabled Badge Holders require a permit?
No
Can I use the Permit on more than one vehicle?
A permit may be issued for a maximum of two specified vehicles but can only be used on one vehicle at a time. Permits are not transferable.
What if I change my vehicle(s)?
If a vehicle is changed a replacement permit can be issued. An administrative fee is charged for the issue of a replacement permit. Please contact Customer Services on 01590 646123 for details of how to obtain a replacement permit. Failure to do so will render you liable to a Penalty Charge.
What if I lose my Permit?
If the permit has been lost, a replacement permit can be obtained at a cost of £6.50.
Where do I display my Permit?
Permits must be exhibited on the front windscreen of the vehicle. Failure to do so will render you liable to a penalty charge.
How do I apply for an Amenity Permit?
Permits are machine printed and are not available for immediate issue from Council Offices. They can be applied for as below and will be dispatched prior to the commencement of the charging season.
