Annual BudgetsCouncil Tax Benefit - reduces your council tax bill if you're on a low income, whether you are working or not, whether you own your home or you're a tenant.    2010/11 Council Tax Benefit - might you qualify?

Housing Benefit - helps to pay the rent (whether it's a Council Property, a Housing Association, or you have a Private landlord), if you are on a low income, whether you are working or not.

Unless you get Pension Credit (Guarantee Credit) your savings and investments must be less than £16,000 for you to be eligible to claim either of these benefits.
