2012 was a fantastic year for British sport . A summer which saw Olympic and Paralympic success, a Wimbledon tennis winner, a Tour de France victory, golf's Ryder Cup comeback, the cricket team winning in India. There was so much to be proud of. And this success is mirrored at a local level. The individuals, teams, coaches and volunteers at local sports clubs are the bedrock of all this success.
BBC's Sport Personality of the Year saw a record number of nominees and votes cast. Now it's your chance to nominate someone local that you feel deserves recognition in this year of sport.
They may have had an impact on an international level or within the local community but this is the chance to recognise their contribution by nominating them for the New Forest Sports Awards.
The forms (below) are the same forms as the Hampshire Sports Awards. This is means that you do not have to fill in 2 award forms. All forms need to be supported by the local Sports Development Officer. Therefore any forms that we received for the district awards we will automatically forward to the Sport Hampshire IOW sports awards unless we are asked not to.
