Which Clock?

The NFDC parking clock scheme offer the following choices for residents and visitors who park in the District.  Follow our guide to work out which is the most cost-effective option for you and buy online.
A short stay clock (£12 for 2010) will give you:
  • Parking for up to 3 hours in any of our town and village car parks PDF Document
    If you wish to stay longer in the long stay section, you must buy a ticket for additional time required (eg. if you need 4 hours parking you would buy a 1 hour ticket and display it alongside your clock which you set at your time of arrival).
£12 Short Stay Shoppers Clock

A long stay clock (£86 for 2010 or £21.50 for 3 months 1 Jan-31 Mar / 1 Apr-30 Jun / 1 Jul-30 Sep / 1 Oct-31 Dec) will give you:

  • Parking in a short stay bay for up to three hours. 
  • Parking in a long stay bay for more than three hours (up to the individual car parks maximum stay). 
  • Parking in any of the Council's town or village car parks PDF Document and amenity car parks PDF Document on the coast.

Paying at the meter

Charges through the meter do vary slightly depending on which car park you are using. The average hourly charge is 60p and all day £5.00 but please check the exact charges displayed in the relevant car parks.

If you are a regular user of the Hythe Ferry, Lyndhurst Community Centre or Beaulieu Community Centre please ask for details of special schemes available.
