The Great British Spring Clean 2017

We are proudly supporting Keep Britain Tidy's Great British Spring Clean 2017.

Taking place from 3 - 5 March 2017, the national campaign aims to get communities out and about to give their local area a good old Spring Clean.

Join in

The Great British Spring Clean is looking for people to help organise and take part in local events. Find out if there's an event near you or register your own event at greatbritishspringclean.org.uk

Let us help

Whether it's a beach clean or a tidy up of your local neighbourhood, we can support community groups who want to spend a few hours litter picking together.

We can provide:

  • litter grabbers
  • black sacks (and clear sacks if you would like to recycle some of that litter)
  • collection of the rubbish after your event
  • posters to advertise your event
  • certificates and stickers

To request support for your event, simply fill in the form below and return it to recycling@nfdc.gov.uk and we'll be in touch. If you would like a bit more information then give us a call on 023 8028 5000 and we'll be happy to help.

Safety first

The safety of volunteers always comes first and we ask that litter picks that take place next to roadsides are kept within areas with a 30mph speed limit and pavements.

It is important that event organisers visit their chosen site and carry out a full risk assessment to keep their volunteers safe. There is lots of helpful advice on The Big Tidy Up website.

The Great British Spring Clean is a campaign led by Keep Britain Tidy and supported by organisations across the New Forest.
