Through the Business and Planning Act 2020, the Government has introduced a streamlined process which allows businesses to secure a licence to place temporary furniture, such as tables and chairs, outside cafes for the next 12 months to support them in operating safely while social distancing measure remain in place.
There is no fee for the licence and we will endeavour to determine the application within 14 days, during which time we will consult with relevant parties.
The licence will be valid until 30 September 2021 unless there is a reason for granting it for a shorter time period. The application form you need to complete can be found below:
